Karen contacted me because she wanted some shots to use on her website around her new office. She is an educator of the program QuickBooks (check out her website here: http://www.qbstudiesplus.com/index.html) and is moving to a brand new office and meeting space in Dublin’s new Metro Data Center. From what I understand about the Data Center, it is run by the city of Dublin and they rent affordable, high tech office space to small business. Pretty cool!

I’ve been having a hard time being motivated to take personal photos lately. Some days I’ll make it a point to actually get my camera out, but I’ve been missing a ton of fun things that we’ve done lately…which as a photographer makes me kind of sad.
Sunday morning I noticed the sunlight streaming in the dining room window (as it often does in the morning) illuminating the dried lavender and vases I have set up on our buffet. I sat and stared at it for a while before I finally convinced myself to grab my camera from the office and take some photos.
God gives us simple gifts like this everyday and I want to remember them.

Here’s a list of places that Brandon, Stephanie & I ventured to for their engagement shoot on Saturday:
Scioto Mile Walkway
Columbus Commons
OSU Urban Arts Space
Huntington Building (in the office where Stephanie works)
Bicentennial Park & the Main St. bridge.
Wow, do I even need to say how much fun this was? Sure it was cold, but there was snow on the ground and I was photographing two people madly in love. It was awesome:)

So many pictures of Brandon picking Stephanie up, I love it!

I think this is my favorite:)

A little twirling!

I met Julie through my mom’s group, her son Duncan is about the same age as Theo!
She is expecting a baby girl, Clara Ruth, in March. Congrats to you and your family Julie!
Big thank you to the Westin for letting us use your lobby for photos. It’s a beautiful location for photos.

Duncan was not a fan of sitting still and reading his big brother book:)
And another thank you to the Jeni’s in Bexley for also letting us use your space for photos. And a special thank you to Lisa, the scooper behind the counter who was so, so accommodating to us.
Duncan was very excited about ice cream!

Jason, I love this photo of you and Julie (and Clara:))

enjoying the downtime that winter brings.

I photographed Jason and Jessica’s wedding in July of 2010, so you can imagine my excitement when they contacted with news that a baby was on the way and they would like me to take pictures of him!
Jaxson was a perfect baby. He barely fussed the entire time. Congrats guys!

Just a funny outtake:) I think they were trying to keep Jaxson from fussing.

Woke up with a desire to capture the beautiful ordinary today.
Theo was excited to see snow out his window this morning

Monday = grocery day and the first grocery day in at least a month where it hasn’t been raining. Hooray!
The last of the Christmas ham with potatoes for lunch.

Celebrating the snow with hot chocolate.

Brought the dog in wearing glitter shoes and white socks. Lookin’ good.
I made a great tofu stir fry for dinner

And the snow is still coming down
I really, really love shooting weddings. I also have the best couples. Ever. It’s a fact.
Thank you to the 14 couples who allowed to me to capture the best day of their lives this past year. You are all wonderful, extraordinary people who made me cry, laugh and feel extremely blessed.

What a good looking, talented and bright group of seniors I got to work with this year. Good luck after graduation y’all!
